I ask this bc we are getting new rugs tomorrow... (btw- what a PITA!!!!!) BUT hubby moved somethings for me cause i had work last night and when i got home, he said 'you should probably throw away pics from old BFs now...'
he was partly kidding.. but i looked and i have pics galore of my past---- my question...
have you thrown old past pics out or just stuff them away?? i know your past is your past... and all that, its not a jealousy thing on his part- got me thinkin though.... why do i really need boxes of past relationships???

I got rid of ALL the pics of my ex. I want no memories of the POS. Funny Story- My mom had some pics of me and my ex (wedding pics and such) and my brother went around and cover his face with the yellow smile face.
Pics were gone. They were lame-o people, and I don't keep pics of any lame people.

I throw nothing away- I'm a pack rat. Besides, I don't think you have to throw away pics just because they are of an ex. I have pictures of a few different exes in my albums- DH doesn't mind. Those pictures are from good times and I don't mind the memories!

I still have pics of ex's... but like non-serious ex's that I still talk to (as friends- duh) my only 'serious' b/f before DH, we ended on good terms, and I kept 'memories' in a box. DH and I threw out that box about 4 years ago... there was no need to keep it, I think in the almost 8 years since we split I've talked to him twice... and that was just after we broke up and for valid reasons.
the other pictures... I still talk to those guys, most of the pictures were at parties or group settings, or in school... nothing romantic- AT ALL.
but with that being said.. I have garbage bags FILLED with loose pictures... plus albums.. they're at my parents house.. I'm going to eventually go through them and put them all in albums. my family was always very 'picture oriented' we seriously document--- EVERYTHING.

as far as digital pictures, i moved the pics with ex's to a different location though so that their pics don't come up when my screen saver comes on.

Tossed it all!
Gave jewelry to my sister.
Pics were gone. They were lame-o people, and I don't keep pics of any lame people.
I sold his jewelry and went shopping Not to be mean or anything, but I figured when I said I never wanted to see him again, I meant it so how would I get his jewelry back. It was yearsss later so I know he couldn't have cared or even remembered.
I threw a lot of pics (probably all) away in a rage when we broke up, so I doubt there are any lingering around. I'd probably chuck them because I figure that's what DH would want and I really couldn't care less. I'm definitely sentimental and a pack rat, but I can part with that. No problemo.

I have a lot of old pics..some with BF's in them. DH doesn't care at all, but I still feel the need to tuck them away into the deepest corner of my closet!

Either I gave it away or burn them. None of my ex's ended on good terms. When a person wish you harm or dead believe you don't want any of their stuff around.

I had a box with tons of stuff from my relationship with my ex and i tossed it all - ceremoniously of course
i walked it out to the curb with my BFF and kissed it goodbye. Deleted pics off my computer, removed all evidence he existed in my life - the works. My DH doesn't even know what he looks like... whereas, I know what his ex looks like in a skimpy piece of red lingerie (thanks DH, for saving ALL of your old pics).
I remember enough about my past without needing photographic or physical reminders. All I need to know about my past relationship is that it helped me get to the place where I am now - happy with my DH

As for the video, I never had any other those but my college roommate did and I know she destroyed the only copy of it shortly after the demise of that relationship!
