Rant about florists.

I hate it when I sit to meet with a florist and they don't have any pictures of their own work. I've already had to eliminate two florists because of this. I feel like it's a waste of my time when I go to a place and they don't have any books of their own work out. *sigh* (can you tell I just came from a florist who did this? lol)

WOW!! That's odd. I have not started looking at florists yet because we are going to go after the eparty, but I just assumed the florists would have pictures of their work. Do you mind mentioning who you went to?

wow very strange. do they just expect you to book without seeing their past work???

i'm not looking forward to the florists.... we're going to start that in may at the 1 year mark.

Well, I've been to 4 florists and the two that didn't have any pics of their work were Towers Flowers in N. Babylon and Perry's Florist in Lake Ronkonkoma. Very dissapointed. However, I just came back from an appt with Flower Barn in Seaford and I think I'm in love. LOL. Beautiful flowers, very nice guy and awesome price.

Check out Keyth from LOVIN OVEN FLORIST!!! Hes so creative and has tons of albums to showcase his work!!

I heard flower Barn is great with price and work. I went with Lauire from LA blossom , I'd check her out.

Verbena Design is amazing!!!! and Jenn is the sweetest! There's a book of just the flowers from her wedding its insane!!!!

We haven't looked at any florists yet.
how are you suppose to see what they can provide? just guess and say, 'okay you'll do, i'll give you 2k and hope you do well' thats crazy!

Always remember to ask while making your appt if tehy have books to look at. I guess now you know. Sorry you're so right thats frustrating!

Thanks for this rant, its definitely a good thing to know. I never would have guessed they wouldn't have books!

i booked with roots and she had tons of her own pictures to show me and she made tons of samples for me when i was there.

We used Pedestals and were very happy with them. They had tons and tons of pictures of their work (and you can find lots on here too from past LIWers )

I can't imagine booking with a florist who couldn't show you pictures of their work. Very odd.

I also recommend Pedestals! We didnt have our wedding yet, but they had lots of pictures of samples, some sample centerpieces out in the store, and also made samples on the spot for us to show us how different combos would look.
