I just had to post and say how much I LOVE my reception site; we are having our reception at the Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club in Manhasset; FHs parents are members, or we would never have found it, but it is amazing! The outside looks like a castle, and it's an old mansion converted to the club. Marble floors, spiral staircase, it's just beautiful; we had our tasting tonight and each dish they brought us was better than the one before, it was so hard to choose. Most of all, Don the manager ROCKS! He's hoping to get the word out and book more weddings there b/c since they are a private club they can't advertise, but you don't have to be a member to have an event there. If anyone knows anyone looking for a smaller, one-event-at-a-time-castle-like setting, this place is perfect! I couldn't be more confident about my wedding day there!

Thanks ladies! I was a little unsure at first because it is not a well-known wedding-reception site, but I have so much confidence in them and the service has been amazing! It is definately one of LI's best-kept secrets

Are they expensive? My sister is looking for a RH and if its in her range ill have her check it out.. Also do you know how many people it holds? You can FM me if you dont want to post the info. TIA

You have FM! I forgot to mention it holds up to about 180, we are having 150 and it's perfect for that...
