RAVE: Hollywood Tans

So yesterday I was REALLY feeling the winter blues (even though it was beautiful out) I always get this way in the winter because I get really pale. I had the nicest tan in the summer because I spent so much time outdoors and wanted it back!!

So...I went to Hollywood Tans and I went in for 6 minutes and left my underwear on so that I could see if there was a difference. and there was!! I got a tan line.

So with those of you with the wintery blues...go get a tanning package. It works!

haha thats so funny...just thinking the same thing the other day.....think that might be partially why I watned a summer wedding, pink looks so much better on bronzed girls haha

Not to bring anyone down but tanning is soooo bad for your. My best friend used to go tanning and then all of a sudden had this weird thing on her arm. She went to get it checked and she had Skin Cancer. The Dr. told her 1 in 20 people who go tanning get some form of skin cancer. She told her it does not matter how many times you go its just not good.

I know you want to look tan in the winter but everyone is pale in the winter anyway.

Not to bring anyone down but tanning is soooo bad for your. My best friend used to go tanning and then all of a sudden had this weird thing on her arm. She went to get it checked and she had Skin Cancer. The Dr. told her 1 in 20 people who go tanning get some form of skin cancer. She told her it does not matter how many times you go its just not good.

I know you want to look tan in the winter but everyone is pale in the winter anyway.

my mom had skin cancer in her 20's - melanoma the deadly kind.....so my sister and i are at a high risk - i happen to get beauty marks/moles that mimic cancer, meaning they look like they could be cancerous and they have the ability to become cancerous so i have to have them removed for biopsy (not all moles/beauty marks are like this).....i have had about 10 removed so far, one came back iffy so they had to dig out some of my skin to make sure they got all the skin cells that were abnormal and i have a really bad keloid scar on my chest from it.......it S-U-C-K-S.....b/c of the type of moles i get and b/c of my family history my derm said that if i dont have the beauty marks/moles taken off early i will most likely end up with melanoma so i have to really be careful with the sun and tanning and make sure i keep going to the dermatologist.....when i was a teenager i didnt care and i abused my skin and went to the tanning salon and beach all the time b/c i hated being pale.....now i regeret it tanning is really addicting (at point i was addicted to the tanning salon) and i LOVE having a tan - so it was hard for me to stop.....now i get airbrushed tanned but its so expensive i actually have a dermatologist appointment on feb 5 for another biopsy and im getting nervous but anyways, i dont mean to be a preacher - because im not and to be honest before my honeymoon in december i might go tanning a few times so i dont burn on my HM and so that im not white as a ghost on the beach - b/c i just love being tan and i dont want to feel ugly even though i know its bad for my health.....just be aware that its dangerous and go to a dermatologist yearly - even if you dont tan

Yep, this is why my dermatologist gets mad when I have ANY form of sun- I had skin cancer and go for routine check ups every 6 months. Girls, it is NOT worth it. I didn't want to say anything and get all melancholy but I don't want anyone to have to go through that!!!!

OMG the same with me. One of my bm had stomach skin cancer. She used to tan all the time and a few years ago went to get a mole checked and it was spreading already!!!!!

I felt terrible for her. It makes me worry because when I was younger I tanned as well!!

My friend now has me check every mole, spot or anything. She will tell anyone not to tan she regrets it e verday.

ok sooo your girls are making me soo nervous now. i dont go tanning ever but now i feel like every mark i should go get checked out ughhhh

I agree. I have very fair skin. I NEVER go tanning and when I go to the beach I use the highest SPF available, wear a large hat and sit under the umbrella.

Take it from me ladies....cancer S U C K S!!!! If you think being pale is horrible, try being bald with no eyebrows thanks to chemo!
