sooo...we need to go in for a 'interview' with our priest this week. does anyone know what they are going to ask???

We just spoke to ours, he put down our date, told us a little bit about how the ceremony would go (We cannot have a mass b/c only FH is catholic, I am lutheran) and that was basically it, he said the office would contact us about pre-cana.

It wasn't bad at all....didn't get too personal. Neither of us are parishioners at the church we are getting married at. He asked, why we loved each other, things about our upbringing, stuff like that. He interview us together and then separately.

Our interview was kind of a nightmare, but only because FH isn't Catholic and the priest was trying to convince him to convert!!! Lets just say we needed a drink after the interview was over.
But then my friend Caryn01, also an LIW girl, interviewed with the same priest and they loved him! So much that they're now having him marry them! BTW...both Caryn01 and her FH are Catholic, so I guess that's why.
Personally, I was extremely put off by the whole way our interview went and FH wasn't happy about having been talked to the way he was.

Our interview wasn't too bad, I heard horror stories about them asking you questions and then asking FH questions and seeing if they match. My cousin had to do that but she had an interview with a Deacon. We are having a priest so he didn't ask us those questions.
He just basically asked how long we were dating, engaged. He wanted to know the story of 'us' which was a great story because we met at church...he liked that

We did ours back in May..Neither my FH or myself are parishoners of the church we are getting married in...The Deacon took down all of our information about the sacraments that we have received & our upbringing...Then he asked how we met, if we loved one another & what we think the future holds...We have to go back & take the 'Focus' test...Don't be nervous about the interview though...

We met with the monsignor. FH has been to the church for yrs, the Monsignor actually married FH's sister. I had informally met the monsignor before, so he wanted to know more about me, then about us as a couple, how we met, how long we'd been together, how long engaged. Nothing TOO personal. I was nervous at first, but afterwards, I felt great. It was nice to hear FH talk about us!!!
