RCC Update: I am now a Milleridge Bride!!!
We went to see the place on Saturday and are we are sending in the deposit today! They were very understanding toward our situation and let us have the large cottage with the minimum of 200 people for Sunday night for our small 90 people weddings. They are going to use the movable walls to make the rooms smaller and cozier. They also practically matched the price of our old contract from RCC, even though Milleridge is more expensive. It’s such a beautiful place, and what’s also very important, so well kept!
We were really lucky that they had our date available!
We went with 2 star menu and it seems like a lot of food. We are trying to decide on the food choices, so if any Millerige brides have recommendations, please don’t hesitate to let me know, I will really appreciate it! Also, where did you guys take pictures? We are having the ceremony in the cottage as well and it seems that they won’t let us come in more then an hour earlier even if there is no party before us. That’s the only downfall of the place and I am not sure how everything is going to work out with our pictures, because we were going to do it before the ceremony.
Also, we went to check out Stuart Manor Country Club. It’s a really nice place but it was too big for our party and we also preferred the décor in the Milleridge. We met the manager, James, who is a really nice guy. He told me that when I called him Friday for an appointment and explained what happened to us, there was another couple sitting in his office who was going to get married in RCC this Summer. That bride found out that RCC went out of business on this board! She read my first post! I am so glad I helped someone to avoid our situation of having to look for a new venue 6 weeks before the wedding!
I left James my phone #. Hopefully that couple is going to call us, so we can collaborate on getting some justice and punishing RCC!
I want to thank ALL of you for your help and all the wonderfull words of support! Of course special thanks to those who recommended Milleridge Inn.
