Is it really tacky to not have a RD? I really don't see how we will be able to afford this extra $1000 we are paying for EVERYTHING for this wedding except dj the fil are paying for that. FH is in construction and it has been very slow this winter so money has not been coming in like we planned. I need advice on what to do abt this RD I've been stressing for a month! Please help me :/

Re: RD
i dont think it's tacky to not have one, but i kinda think you should at least do a little something if you're making them rehearse-even if its just pizza back at your place

Re: RD
still new to all the lingo, RD= rehearsal dinner?
We aren't doing one, I didn't even realize it was like a must for some people.

Re: RD
It's not tacky, but you also don't have to do anything super formal or expensive.
We're having everyone back at FH's apartment afterwards and getting trays of food from a local Italian place.
You could do a BBQ in your yard, or get some 6' heros and salads, or just a bunch of finger foods/apps and drinks.

Re: RD
How about if you just do something small back at your house?? Maybe even just cater a few dishes or even some hero's?

Re: RD
It's definitely not tacky. Maybe just have people come back to your place for pizza or something.

Re: RD
I'm having like a bbq type RD because it's in June and that is not costly at all.
