RD attire question (as a guest)

My FH and I are attending one tonight...is my FH supposed to wear a suit ? Are they usually more casual?

It comes down to...tie or no tie??? What's your opinion or experience?

Where is it??

I would make my FH wear khakis, and a button down shirt with no tie, but he si no the dress up kinda guy.

What if he wears a button down shirt and brings the tie?

it's at the Woodbine Inn in Floral Park. I'm not familiar with the place.

I did a google search, and the only things I could find about ti were, bands schedules that were playing there.

I am also not familiar with the place.

What about calling the place directly?

I'd say it depends on the location. Next week I'm going to one and wearing a sundress and my fiance is wearing tan pants (nicer than khakis) and a short sleeve shirt. I have another one I can't attend next week that is a backyard bbq - that would be shorts or jeans! Just ask the bride what she thinks, or wear a sundress to be safe.

I have never been to a RD where the guys wore suits but I agree it depends on the place. Sorry but I never heard of that place.

(DH didn't even wear one to ours and he is a dressy up type guy.)
