RD dilemna?

RD dilemna?

Brad proposed at Central Park in the city. After we got engaged we had an engagement dinner with just our immediate families at the Boathouse in Central Park. It was lovely. We had contemplated having our engagement party there, but because of the size and the date it didn't work out (we ended up having it at St. Bart's Cafe - which was incredible). Last night I was talking to my FMIL and she suggested we have the RD at either the Boathouse or St. Bart's. Which I think is awesome and would be tons of fun! Brad thinks it is too much traveling for everyone. We are getting married on Long Island (the church is in Manhassat). Our rehearsal is Thursday night and the wedding is Saturday night. The ride to Manhattan from Manhasset is only 30 mins on the train or I was thinking we could provide transportation.

What do you think?

Go for it! We are getting married on Long Island but having our RD in the city. So far no one has complained about the travel. Since most of our guests are staying on Long Island, we are providing a bus for guests.

I think Brad is right.

I am presuming the wedding rehearsal is in Manhasset, right? I feel the restaurant should be close to the church.

Go for it! We're going from Queens to Woodbury to Manhattan. We want FI OOT relatives to get a chance to see the city even if it's just for dinner!

I agree. The rehearsal dinner should be close to the rehearsal. Plus there are plenty of terrific restaurants in the Manhasset area.
