so long story short, FH and i ate at the riverview last summer before i moved away for medical school and decided that that was where we wanted our RD to be. so FH's dad called them and left a deposit, and then last week he came down to NY (from boston) for business and also went to the riverview. well, due to some sort of miscommunication, we no longer can have our RD at the riverview. so since our wedding is in only two months, he needed to find a place before going back to boston. we needed a place near bay shore where our church is (st pat's), and he found nonnina italian bistro in west islip. the web site looks great and i read excellent reviews but i was wondering if anyone's ever been there before? i'm in south florida so i can't check it out til may. he booked it so this is where our RD needs to be, but i'd still love to hear from firsthand experiences. thanks!!

We are getting married at St. Pat's too and our RD is at Papa Joes in Deer Park. Never been to Nonnina's but its my brother's mom's fave place and she is a picky person. All of the restaurants over there are good so I wouldnt stress about it.

I have FH's nephews communion there on May 8th... I had seen their website and passed their hall and suggested it to her (FSIL) she loved it there.
but there's also captain bills in bay shore (thats most likely where we're having ours) we've had parties there before, but we'll both give mixed reviews (amazing food- not so great CS)
also a lot of people suggest milk and sugar.... i'm not a fan.
but if you're into japanese.. aji's in bay shore is awesome! Aji 53
