RD dress -- is it okay to wear this?

I bought a dress from JCPenny the other day for the RD. Its a halter thats white-ish with a big brown sash that ties in the back and it has a brown and pink floral print on it. My mom and FH both think its fine since it has a lot of brown and pink (its also about knee length) but I'm worried about the white. I've heard you're not suppose to wear white at the RD? Do you think its okay? I wish I had a pick but its not on their website. Its not a lot of white and i love the dress....

Really?? I didnt know that. Okay, i feel much better now. Thast kind of what my mom said -- she was like 'you're the bride, you SHOULD be in white.' I guess I just figured, everyones gonna see me in white the next day, so maybe I should go with something else...but its a totally different dress and its fun and springy

I specifically picked an ivory dress (my wedding dress is ivory) for my engagement party, and will probably where ivory for the RD. You are suppose to stand out at these events. Definetely do it.
