My FIL's are giving us money to put towards the wedding and the RD, but they've left the planning up to us, well me really. We have to have the RD here in Westchester, preferably around the White Plains area. I already have a place that we were planning on using. It was going to be about $35 a person, around 30 people, plus tax and tip. That price includes and Italian family style meal, wine, beer and soda. It's not a bad price, but I was wondering if anyone may have any other suggestion that may be cheaper. I like the idea of the RD being fairly casula since the wedding will be formal.

i know alot of people on theknot.com recommend graziella's in white plains. i went there once and the food was really good and the prices were pretty good! white plains is a big city w/ alot fo rest. in it- i would try a zagat book! good luck!

That's so funny, Graziella's is the restaurant I was talking about! lol! They have great food, afriend of ours works there, and we all have functions there and I was hoping they would give me a better price than they did. We'll probably wind up having it there anyway.

It's not in White Plains, but how about Edo's Japanese Hibachi, which is on Boston Post Rd in Pelham? It's off the Hutchinson River Parkway. I think $30 covers food. It really is a fun place. You watch the chef cook the food. They have a separate room for private parties which you'll probably want. It does get crowded there though and you have to make reservations - 2 weeks or more in advance to use the party room. I forget how many it holds, find out before you book.

edo's is really fun!!! i don't know how many ppl you are having @ the rd, but that would be a fun place and very relaxed!!
