For your rehearsal dinner invites, how are you asking people to RSVP? Did you just have them phone you if they were coming/not coming or did you include an RSVP card with the invite? Thanks

Re: RD invite--what kind of RSVP?
You don't even necessarily need an RSVP...the two I've been to recently haven't had one. The people just knew it was either just the wedding party and immediate families (for a mostly in-town wedding), or that nearly all out-of-town family members would be coming too (this was a fairly informal one, not a sit-down, at a pub in Charlotte, NC). So, if you fall into one of those categories, I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: RD invite--what kind of RSVP?
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. So it sounds like phone and email is the best way to go for this.
Our RD is going to be grandparents, parents, siblings, and the bridal party. We're having a pretty formal sit-down dinner though and most people are coming from out of town, so we'd like to give them time (and a heads-up) to make arrangements to arrive early. Also, we're getting married at the hall, so we aren't even rehearsing the day before so it's really a non-rehearsal rehearsal dinner
