send out formal invitations, or email/call everyone with the date and time?
I was just going to buy some invitations and send them out, but fh doesn't want to bother.
I like having things IN WRITING...but I think he's also at his wit's end with all of the 'personal' touches we have LOL
Is word of mouth reliable/sufficient?

Re: RD invites...what should we do?
I was going to do word of mouth, but knowing how irresponsible some of our attendees are, I had to send something out in paper. I also put an RSVP (but to call me.)
I spent a total of $14 for the RD Invites...

we are doing formal invites. we're buying blank invites at a stationary store for under $10 for invites and envelpoes. imo, invites are the best way to go

I sent an evite. There's some cute choices on there. And then it has the RSVP feature.

Re: RD invites...what should we do?
I initially just wanted to do word of mouth but people kept saying 'when is it again?' or 'where exactly is it?' So, I sent out invites. I bought cardstock from Michael's and posted a poem with all of the information onto the stock. I got the poem from other brides, I'll see if I can find it. Then I included directions. I stuck labels on the envelopes and the whole thing took me maybe an hour.

We just did those blank, any occasion invitations you can get at the card store with an RSVP phone number. Nothing too fancy but contains all the basic who what where when why stuff.

Re: RD invites...what should we do?
I sent out an 'informal' invitation that I made on the computer...I only had people that were 'regrets' only to respond
I am OCD & need things in writing!!!

I am printing DIY invites. I bought blank cards and envelopes from AC Moore to send out STDs. The left overs will be used for RD invites.
