FH and I are currently trying to think of a place for our RD. Its going to be rather large, about 65-75, so our original place can not longer take us. Our original place was the restaurant where we had our first date, so I'm very bummed about this. Plus I always love the RD and want mine to be great (but doesn't everyone)
As with everything else, the RD is FH & I's responsibility, so we are taking cost into consideration.
IF anyone knows of any restaurants or Halls that they can recommend in the Lake Ronkonkoma area (will definitely travel a bit for good place, maybe 20 min), PLEASE PLEASE let me know.
I'm hoping for a sitdown restaurant with a private room, but I think this is the long shot. A hall, which we can bring food & drink to is fine, but I don't want it to be so big that its like a mini-reception. Not going to be getting a second dj or something.
In advance, thank you all for your help!

Money was an issue for us so we r doing a meet and greet in the hotel everyone is staying at the night before. They are letting us use the conference room for free or at a minimal cost depending on the rooms blocked. We will be bringing our own food and drinks in and there is a movie screen where we can play pictures and movies of us. We will be giving all the guests their hotel bags there as well.

What about Windows on the Lake? Wasn't TWOTY RD dinner there? It's worth a call. I do like the hotel idea too.

Three Village Inn
private rooms - it's inexpensive
and you can accomodate a lot of people.. or only a few people depending on which room you use.
We're having my shower there - 50 people, private room overlooking the water and the room can accomodate up to 70 - but there are other options (bigger and smaller rooms)
