RD near Floral Terrace

Don't know if I've mentioned it before, but my cousin is also getting married this year, in April. He is from NY and she is from PA, they live in PA, but the wedding in LI, at Floral Terrace.

So, I've been helping them out A LOT, since they need someone from NY for suggestions sometimes.

Well, now my aunt needs to arrange the RD for Thursday, April 17th (wedding is the 18th) and there's about 40-45 ppl and they'd like an Italian restaurant (with a private room, preferably) near Floral Terrace, since the church is down the block and all OOT ppl (including bride) are staying at LaQuinta (which is also right there)

Any suggestions girls? My aunt is driving me crazy!! I'm from Bayside and don't really know the Floral Park Area...

Theres a resaurant called Umbertos on Jericho Tpke (where JT is) ....I had gone there after college graudation a few years ago....very nice, italian food, and i'm pretty sure they have a private room....heres their link:

Pencenzos in NHP. I've been there for a few occasions, one of them being a RD for a wedding at FT.
The food is excellent. They also have a private room.

We did my brother's RD at Ciro's Pizzeria and Restaurant in Floral Park, which is right down the block from Floral Terrace on Jericho Tpke. They have a back room that they close off for parties. The place is small, but the food is good. Not sure if it can fit 45 - 50 people, but it doesn't hurt to call and ask.

Another place right nearby is Stella's Ristorante on Jericho Tpke in Floral Park. The food is great. It's prob somewhat pricey, but we had my sister-in-law's shower there, and we had our own room to the side.

There's also Trattoria Lucia over in Bellerose on Jericho Tpke, like 2 minutes from Floral Terrace. It's a small, cute place, and the food is good. I think they might be expanding too - which might mean they'll have a private room.

And as someone mentioned before, there's Umberto's in New Hyde Park on Jericho Tpke. It's pretty big, and they have an upstairs restaurant, so I'm pretty sure they can do a private RD party. The food there is good.

I live nearby Floral Terrace, so I'm pretty familiar with the neighborhood and the restaurants. Let me know if you need any other suggestions or info about places.
