RD opinions

I grew up on Fire Island and the great south bay (probably like many of you) I then lived and worked at Fire Island all through high school and college. I was thinking that it might be great to have my rehersal dinner there on the beach. The wedding is in St. James and all of our out of town guests (there are a lot of of friends from FL coming up for the wedding) are staying in Stony Brook. Do you think taking a ferry out of sayville or bayshore is too far? Also, do you think this would be to stressful of a plan for the night before the wedding?

debbie...I think its a fantastic idea...it gives guests a little insight on you...

but I would NOT do it the night before...at least 2 nights before...or think about the week before!!

Thanks Yabbobay. I will have to do it the night before though bacause we will not be up there the weekend before and neither will a majority of our best friends from around us down here.

Debbie, I think it is a wonderful idea! Go for it!
If you are concerned about the plan for the night before the wedding, than can you arrange it earlier so that the ferry rides are not too late?

Do you have an morning or evening wedding?
If it's an evening wedding, then I don't think you will have much of a problem.
