I don't know what etiquette is, but we are not inviting anyone's significant others. We are keeping it STRICTLY to those involved in the wedding and for the lil ones (fg's/rb's) their parents.

Re: RD Question
We invited significant others, especially since some of them were traveling from out of town.

We did the same. But most of the bridal party had SO's and were married. Noone just brought a 'date' to our RD.

Re: RD Question
We wouldnt be having people travling who are in the bridal party. But I know the FH is not going to wait to invite SO's for people who are only dating. I will have to talk it over with him when it comes time to plan.

Re: RD Question
Half of both mine and FI's wedding parties are married... so their spouses are invited.
My sister has been dating a guy for 6 months and my parents see no problem inviting him.
Everyone else is single. One guy was dating a girl for a few years and I would have invited her (since they were long term)... but they just broke up two weeks ago. His new fling is not coming to the dinner (but she is coming to the wedding).

Re: RD Question
We invited the single groomsmen with guest to the RD. Both have girlfriends that will be coming to the wedding.

Re: RD Question
I would invite SO if they were married or going out for a long time. I wouldn't have any single people bring a guest. It's not that kind of thing. JMO!

Re: RD Question
I think that if the person/couple is coming from out of town you should invite significant others because it is only fair. Otherwise keep it to the bridal party and that's it.

The SO's are invited to the wedding, we just do not feel that they should be sharing in the RD b/c it is intimate and involves the BP - no reason to have TWO parties! That's why there's a reception - the SO's are invited to that...more than enough!

I totally agree, but my guests think otherwise do these people think we are made of $$?

Re: RD Question
I think any SO's or spouses should be invited to the RD. I would be completely offended if someone invited me without my partner.

Re: RD Question
I also just went to look up the etiquette for the Rehearsal Dinner -
The guest list includes members of the wedding party, their spouses or dates, the families, the officiant and his or her spouse, and sometimes, out-of-town guests.
Of course you are free to do whatever you want. But normally, this is what is done. And personally, I think it's the least that can be done for people who are spending so much money to be there for your day. You want them to be happy and to have a good time. That includes, including their SO's.

Same here, and we have a lot of family couples in the BP, so it was only a few, and they are good friends, we couldn't exclude them.

Re: RD Question
Any one who has a serious boyfriend, fiance or husband (also girlfriend, wife!!) is invited with that person. People who don't have any of the above are stage for both the RD and the wedding.
