RD question

Hey ladies..needed to ask you for your opinions.

We have a friend from college who is getting married this summer (he is the groom) and FH is in the wedding party. Yesterday I get a voicemail from the bride-to-be (we are all REALLY good friends) and she says that the RD is Thursday night in MA (the wedding is Saturday night). She wanted to let me know about the hotel deals.

I'm not mad or anything, but I just think it's weird that the RD is on a Thursday night and that they expect for all of the OOT guests to be there. We want to be there of course, but my schedule and life is so up in the air right now, that I don't know what I will be doing this summer.

FH is going to find a way to get off that Thursday and is upset if I can't make it. The thing is, we also have FH's cousin's wedding the following weekend (Friday night) so wherever I will be working this summer, I will need to take off a ton of time within a few days.

Sorry so long- just wanted to know if I was crazy.

Re: RD question

that is asking a lot. it's bad enough you'd have to take friday/sat off, but to have the take thurs/fri/sat? that will certainly make it difficult for you. although, you could always call in sick

Re: RD question

I can understand how you feel, we really wanted to have our RD on the thursday night but decided against it for this very reason..we have a lot of OOTers in the BP and thought it would be an inconvenience to ask them to come a day earlier... I'm sure they'll understand, but I know you're probably disappointed that you'll be missing it too

Re: RD question

Is she getting married at the hall? I know usually if u do ure rehearsal is in the middle of the week since they have weddings that day. We purposely avoided doing that bc we knew it would be a pain for ppl to come out. I'm sorry, but i'm sure everything is going to work out and you can take a long weekend!

Re: RD question

Thanks ladies! Just wanted to check with everyone to make sure I wasn't overreacting.

I wouldn't mind having a long weekend- especially since they live in Gloucester, MA and it's gorgeous up there.

Thanks again!
