RD start time question

RD start time question

What time do you think is appropriate to start a rehearsal at a church on a Wed night? I don't want to start it too early bc I know people will be coming from work, but I also don't want to start it too late bc I know they have work the next morning. The church gave us a 7:30 start time which I feel is kinda late bc we won't get to the restaurant till like 9.

What does everyone think?

Re: RD start time question

I think anywhere from 6:30-7:00 is fine, assuming ppl get off from work @ 5 and will go home, shower, and head straight there.

I know nothing about RDs, I dont' even know if we're having one, but this is the time I'd feel comfortable with.

I think 6:30 is a good start time for a RD. I don't know how long church rehearsals are normally but I would try to see if the church can give you an earlier time slot for the rehearsal. I agree with you, I think that 730 is late and you'll most likely start just sitting down for food at 9

I think 7:30 is fine. Ask if you can start at 7:00 instead maybe?

Just check to make sure there isn't anything going on in the church beforehand that would make you start at 7:30 at the earliest. For example, in my church, the choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:30-9pm, so they wont do rehearsals any later than 6:30 on a Wednesday. I'm sure if you asked them to move it up to 7:00 there wouldn't be a problem, as long as there isn't something else happening in the church that evening.

Re: RD start time question

Thanks girls, I just called them back and they said we can start the rehearsal at 7 instead of 7:30. They said 7 is the earliest they can do bc the people that do it work till 5 and can't get their earlier. But I think we can prob get to the restaurant by 8 which is good.

I gave FH the duty of calling and leave it up to him to accept the first time they offer Men!!! lol

Now is anyone putting an earlier start time on their invites to make sure the bridal party isn't late? lol

I don't think rehearsal will take more than 1 hr, so I think 7:30 should be fine

My fh and I were in a wedding and the groom told all the gm that the time was 1/2 hour ahead of actual time..Needless to say all the usual late comers (my fh especially) were there on time.
