FH's fam is being very vague about who to invite, so they pretty much left it up to me who to invite. But, I really don't know what the norm is to do, everyone says the closest ppl in the family and the bridal party. But to me closest ppl in the fam could be all aunts and uncles and their kids b/c they'll OOT and I think it would be nice to include them. Anyway just so I know I'm not out of line how many were invited/at your rehearsal diner?

Re: RD total count
about 100...
We invited all of our OOT guests...it's nice since they're spending so much money to come for your big day.

Re: RD total count
Well the funny thing is that all the OOT will be FH's family and they're all staying at the same hotel so I thought why not invite them, especially since his two sisters and bro are in the BP and his cousin is doing a reading so they will be attending the dinner. Wouldn't be weird that the rest of the fam would be left behind at the hotel?
The thing is I didn't get the enthusiastic 'yes' I was looking for when I asked his Mom, so now I'm like maybe she not crazy about the idea, or just doesn't know/care?
BTW Including them total MAX count would be is 30 --> I don't think that's that much right? I just don't want them to think I went overboard on their account.

Re: RD total count
We had I think 22... just immediate families plus our readers, the BP & their husband/wife/bf/gf. OOT guests were invited but decided not to come.

Re: RD total count
We're having about 50.....just OOTers and the bridal party, who are all OOT anyway. No one local will be there except my parents.

Re: RD total count
We are at about 50 and that is just the Bridal party and their SO and parents and grandparents.
So I personally do not think 30 is overboard at all.

Re: RD total count
We are having b/w 60-70, we invited all of our OOT guests, since they have made the trip here, I thought it was rude to leave them sitting in a hotel room while we are out enjoying time together. But that is one's personal preferance, and it also plays into the budget, if he FH's family is ok with a large RD final count, invite who you feel is close to you. Good luck!

Re: RD total count
Between 40-50. We're only inviting a few OOT guests (those that are close family or in the BP). None of the OOT guest will probably be in yet for the RD (we're having it on a Wednesday night and the wedding is Friday). If they are pissed they can shove it! I'm paying for the RD as it is because FMIL, well, s u cks.
