I already started and I feel it was a big mistake. I already tried on one dress I absolutely loved and it is getting discontinued in Oct. I didn't want to but it this early.

i am not going until next year, sept or oct. i don't want to start too soon b/c styles change and i know if i see one now i will definetly change my mind. i suggest waiting until next year and then start looking seriously.

Personally, I found the 'one' already and bought it. I don't regret it.

not till next year, i already did but I can't make a decision this early, I think it is best to wait, new dresses will be out by then anyway!

I think I may do some preliminary shopping in December, but probably won't buy anything until February. Unless I absolutely love something I see earlier!

I absolutely fell in love with a Demetrios dress from the 2003 collection and I didn't want to miss out on it in case it got discontinued, so it's on order but will not be altered until much closer to the wedding. It truly is my dream dress even though I looked at a bunch more nothing compared in my eyes.

I started last week...I fell in love with one dress but the new shipments are coming into the bridal store this week...I will most likely make a decision by November

i think id wanna wait till at least the new styles come out...
also my best friend and maid of honor is getting married oct 05, so until shes settled i dont wanna make our trips for her dress about me, it was fun a few times but its more fun watching her try it on (shes much smaller then me)

At first I thought maybe around November, but I changed my mind and figured I would go right after the holidays.

(Gives me more time to try and lose a few lbs.!)

So, I guess Jan or Feb!

I actually picked out and purchased my dress already.. It has not come in yet to the Bridal Salon, but I loved the dress and the style I have will still be in for years to come.. Just trying to figure out a way to preserve it until 2006, since my salon does not store dresses after the order is complete.

I too want to lose some weight before shopping. One of my 2 MOH's lives in VA, and will be in town during the weekend of my E-Party April 23, so we're ALL going dress shopping that weekend...for Me and the girls. Also my mo (who lives in IL will be here too). Fun, Fun, Fun! I want to go now and start looking though!

My goal was to start in October of this year, but since my schedule is crazy for that month, I think I'm pushing it to November. I just happened to find this gown I love in a mag and want to try it on b/c I don't want to risk it being discontinued.

I know this wasn't part of the question, but I figured I'd throw it out there... re: Bridemaids' dresses we are not doing until this summer to check out the new styles.

what designers do they carry at the bridal garden. i heard of them but i didn't know what they had there!!
as far as BM dresses, i will not go w/ my bridemaids to purchase one until the summer also, but i am probably going to look around for fun much earlier than that with my MOH , b/c she is my sister and we cannot wait to go1!!!!

Just to give you girls time reference, I started looking at dresses last November and ordered it in late January. It came in the first week of July.

Me too! I found a gown I love, just need to go try it. My luck, it won't look good on me. It looks perfect in the pics, exactly what I want. Plus it's by Mori Lee, that means the price will be reasonable!!
