So I went w/ some of my girls and they ordered their gowns The dress is the color as shown but I decided to go with a Black sash since our wedding is Black -tie preferred. IMO it was more appropriate. Well while I was there I saw these gorgeus shoes in White satin with several rows of crystals/rhinestones around the ankle strap... They're so hot. I ordered them for myself They come in black, I'm thinking of suggesting them to my girls for them to wear ... I think that might be kinda bridezilla-ish..

A lot of brides do this. If they're a really pretty shoe, your BMs might not mind the expense especially if it's something they know they'll wear again and again.

Re: Re: BM Attire
i am only b/c my bm dresses are going to be tea length and since shoes will be so visible, i would like the girls to be somewhat coordinated...not necessarily the exact same shoe or anything, but dyed and open toed...ordinarily i would not care

I think I might tell them that they can choose whichever shoe they want but I want it to be died to match sash in their dress. They can always die the show black after.

I dont think its bad to ' suggest' it. However, I would not make them get those shoes because everyones feet are different and what may work for one, may not work for another.
An example is when was in a wedding where we had to get the same shoes and it ****** because they were very strappy and I have small toes and the straps dug into my toes. I was bleeding by the end of the church. I told the bride that it was an issue in the store but she wanted ' all to have the same shoe'

Great point thanks. Two bridesmaids were there today and they want to order them in black, they are so cute! I'm trying to find pics of it online.. I can def. see why these girls love them and the others might not. One Jr. BM is 5'10 and 15, the 3 inch heels would put her over 6'...

Re: Re: BM Attire
I'm going to strongly suggest that my BMs wear silver shoes (or gold, if they prefer). The BM dress is a unique color (tissue taffeta, so it has a shimmer) and it wouldn't really be practical to get dyed-to-match shoes. The dress is long, so you won't really see the shoes anyway.
I'm fine with them picking out their own shoes (I'm big on comfort) and hope they can agree on silver or gold (I think silver might look better) but if a BM feels strongly against it I won't really care.
I'd probably feel differently if I picked short dresses though since I like things to look uniform

I picked full length gowns, but I guess I'll suggest it since 2 girls want them anyway...

yea I read that, I guess it depends on the price of the shoe. If it's something ridiculous I wouldn't expect my BM's to pay for it

I don't think it's bridezilla-ish becaue you are not demanding them to buy these shoes. They very well may buy them but they dont have to. My girls are in black dresses with a sort of white sash. I'm asking them to just get satin black closed-toe shoes such as dyables. With black shoes there are soooo many different options. Kind of want to keep things uniform...i don't want everyone's 'funky' toes appearing in the pics lol

i dont see anything wrong with asking them to wear a certain shoe as long as it's a comfortable one.

I do think that is a bit much...remember..you're already asking them to buy a dress and get their hair done probably. They're going to or helping plan a bridal shower and a bachelorette party. I know it would have been tough for me to come up with $80 for shoes after I was my cousins MOH.

I'm not, but the shoe you are requesting is black, they can use it again. It is not bad!

we have the same color and I'm suggesting silver also...some girls already have silver shoes they can wear, and they others seemed fine with it--metallic is such a big trend now it's not hard to find them!

Re: Re: BM Attire
i don't think thats bridezilla-ish at all...sometimes personally as a BM...I like the bride to make the decisions otherwise u are like hmmm i hope she likes these as you are calling all the other BMs to ask what to do...just suggest it, i think its for the best.
