How much are you paying for your dj and what is it including? Any recommendation on what price I should ask?
We kind of signed with a dj a few weeks back who pretty much talked me into his services. We did really enjoy him and it was between him and another guy (both friends of 2 different friends). Both men were owners of their respective companies and said we can pay whatever we want. We want to be fair because we explained to both we were overbudget and weren't looking to spend much at all plus they obviously expect a certain amount and he is doing our wedding himself. We just want him for 5 hours playing our playlist as a start (not sure if we want any other services but that can also be worked out after). Any insight will be appreciated!!

I absolutely love the DJ we booked for our wedding. We booked Dreamworks for 3100 which includes:
ceremony music microphones for priest and groom cocktail hour music bi-lingual mc percussionist 4 hour reception zap shots 1 montage for bride-groom 2 montages for parent dances
I'm extremely pleased with the price we got. How much are they charging you?

How big is your wedding? If you need a DJ only.. I would expect to pay closer to $1000. If you want a DJ and MC, it would be a little more.
I have 2 live musicians, dj, mc, cocktail hour music, uplighting for under $3000.

thank you for the help. We aren't sure if got a dj and mc or just one person doing both but if it's 2 people for cocktail and reception we are gonna say $1000. see how that goes
