Re: Marriott
Has anyone attended any weddings in the Marriott in Brooklyn or in a Marriott period? My FI and I are considering this as an alternative. Any feedback you could give - will definitely be appreciated!!!

Re: Marriott
My cousin got married at the Marriott in Uniondale (by Nassau Coliseum) and we had a blast. A bunch of us had too much to drink (if you can imagine that happening at a wedding) so it was nice to be able to get a room right on the premises. My uncle corned me in conversation during dinner so I never got to eat - so I can't comment on how the food was - sorry. Everyone else seemed to like it.
From what I understand the price is very reasonable. Good luck - happy planning.

Re: Marriott
I went to my aunts 50th anniversary at the Marriott by Nassau Coliseum. It was really beautiful. The food was pretty good too. They have a very big dance floor. I almost considered getting married there myself.

Re: Marriott
Are you talking about the Marriott by the Brooklyn Bridge (I think its on Adams Avenue)? by the MetroTech area. I live about a mile away from there and it looks very nice, brand new about two year old. I know they have alot of business functions there but I have not heard anything about weddings.Septbride

Re: Marriott
Thank you all for resonding! The Marriott I was considering is the one in the Metrotech area. I'm going on the 20th to view the menus, etc. From what we heard when we went there to see the rooms last week - we seemed to like it. They allow you to go there the night before for any last minute touchups with the room. They only do one wedding at a time. And if you spend a certain amount (I think $15,000) they give you a week stay at any Marriott in the US (sort of like a 2nd honeymoon or a 1st if you're not going outside of the states).
Anyway, I'll let you guys know, if any of you are interested, what we find out when we go there on the 20th.
