I need a place to get my nails done the day before the wedding. I am not from Long Island, so I am not familiar with the area. I know there are like 3 nail salons per block everywhere you go, but I want the BEST place. Please recommend some place (exact addresses would be appreciate it)
BTW- somewhere in the Baldwin, Oceanside area would be best.
Also what does a permanent French mean???

Permanent french is always french...they paint the white tip first then put glue over it...then paint the rest. They are supposed to be chip resistant too, but of course I always manage to ruin them some how. As far as nail salons go...I go to a great place in Massapequa park...but that is probs a little too far if you don't know the island that well.

I'm getting a perm french done in a few weeks at Salon Montage in oceanside on LBR. My mom has been going there for years for her hair/nails and i'm getting my hair done there for the wedding too.
I've never had a perm french but I know it stays for 3 weeks, which is why i'm getting it!

It lasts for more then 3 weeks! I have had mine on for a month...No chips, nothing!!!

I just got a permanent french and I love it, I got it with the gel, it looks great! I went to Canele in Commack, its far from you but they did a fabulous job.

my only grow nice b/c I have stuff over them- if they were just my nails- they would be broken too
check out the perm french- you will love it

Me too! My fiance always complains to me 'All you ever do lately is your nails!'. But I love the way they make my nails feel-- they honestly do feel a lot stronger!

Can also be done over your own nails....mine are....i love it! Always so clean and classy looking. And boy do they last!!!
Salon Montaage in Oceanside is great!! That is where my hair artist is from. Unfortunately they are closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly (didn't check out the day of the week for you), but if you are a Sunday you can easily get them a day or two in advance (I'm getting mine done the day before) and they will still look fresh!
