Re: Pets

Does anyone know of a good vet in or near Flushing? I normally go to Howard Beach, but it's too far for me now and I hate wating two hours with 100 people in that 2x2 room.

Audrey's been limping for a few days and I really want to get her to see someone soon, today maybe. eta - she doesn't seem to be in pain or acting any differently, besides the limping.

TIA!!

I don't know how near this is to Flushing but my guess is that it's not too far.

My vet is in Woodside, but the name is Sunnyside Animal Clinic. The vet's name is Dr. Goldenberg. They're great there, call them up and see if they can fit you in. Let me try to find the # for you, gimme a sec.

The North Shore Animal League opened up a clinic. that's amzing.. and it's by appt. so that means no waiting.

I recently took my dog there and we got him update ih all of his shots, got him heart worm prevention pill & flea & tick control.. and all we spent was $153! They are relatively inexpensive and honest. The last time I took my dog to a local vet.. he said that max needed surgery on his leg! that his hip was dislocated & it will cost us $1400?!!! I took him to the north shore that they said that max was in no need of what this vet is recommending! I would call north shore 516-883-2000

Whitestone Animal Hospital is great..we got our cat as a stray and they take amazing care of her and other animals (I actually ended up knowing a lot of people who used them!) We had a few issues with our new kitty, and they are patient and accomodating..hours are pretty convenient too..good luck!
