photo video we are paying 90% before and 10% after its written in our contract
our photographer and videopgrapher required that we pay 75% up front then the remaining 25% when we recieved the final product
Hmm I want to check my contract now b/c I was pretty sure we have to pay 100% up front. Which doesn't really make much sense to me anyway.
for our photographer, about 70% was paid before the wedding, the rest when we picked up our proofs. our videographer was about 60% before, and the balance when we pick up our video.
well they wont show up if they are not paid before. All vendors have a certain timeline they want the balance by. Such things as albums and video you pay when you receive it but the rest of the balance is due before the wedding, most want it 2 weeks before the wedding. Most of my vendors gave me payment plans that i have paid throughout and then usually 2 weeks or so and some earlier require the full balance. Photography besides the albums is paid already, dj we paid already. And now we have to give the others the rest of the balance but we have paid installments until now...Video half of the balance is due before the wedding and the other half when i receive the video
All of my vendors are being paid upfront. Most want to be paid 2 weeks before.
You have to pay them however your contract says you should. Photog and video usually require most of the balance to be paid by the day of or a few days before and then you pay the small remainder after you get your proofs and/or video. The rest of your vendors have to be paid in full by the wedding.
You shouldn't pay the entire amount before the wedding...you pay the final amount (usually 25% or so) when you pick up your proofs and video.
yea you don't pay all before wedding, you have to see finished product...lol
In our contract it says we pay the balance one month after the wedding. We have to pay a little more one month prior then nothing until one month after.
