Showers are supposed to be laid-back, fun occassions....no need for formalities.

I didn't either actually.....come to think of it I don't think I've ever been to one where there were placecards.

I don't think I've ever been to a shower where they had place cards so I'd say you don't have to add Mrs or Miss

we did placecards at my SIL's shower but we didnt put mrs. miss ms. etc on them

i've never been to a shower where seating was assigned. everyone usually just sits wherever they want.

If you are doing place cards and don't want to put Mrs or Miss on them... I don't see anything wrong with it
