Ok, we decided on a HM destination, but there's a slight glitch.... can you help?
We're going to the Mayan Riviera and we're covered for Hurricanes through Leslie Daniels (Travel Solutions) up until 24 hours before we leave....this means even if I stub my toe, I can cancel our HM up to 24 hours before we leave and we'll get all our hotel $ back and get a credit from American Airlines for up to 1 year later....
BUT if we get down there and a hurricane hits us at that time, the hotel will not comp us our stay that we lose....Ex: we arrive on Wed and a hurricane hits on Thurs, the hotel will keep us safe until we are scheduled to leave or get us to the airport, but they won't reimburse us for our lost honeymoon..
I'm thinking let's book it now....if it looks like a hurricane is going to hit before we leave, we'll cancel the trip. If it hits while we're there, our HM is already ruined...
