OK...so my hubby & I go to Disneyworld like 5 times a year (yes..we are VERY VERY cool! haha!)
for some reason we love it there, there is so much to do, its like a second home to us.
for our honeymoon in november we couldnt go away on a 'real' honeymoon bc of my job, so we went away to disney to a $$$ hotel for 5 days...
we figured on going to st lucia (sandals) this july. then i recently changed my mind, cancelled my reservation and found a saucy place in mexico that looked fun!
but the more i keeo thinking about it, the more i just wanna go back to disney, even though we;ve been there 500 times. even if we went on this sick trip to mexico, as the trip came up, i know all i would think was 'ohhh mannn, i wish we were going to disney!'
everyone always gives us crap bc we go there so much. but its where we like to go.
right now we are considering going back to disney again in the summer, staying in a nice hotel, living it up, etc.
am i totally insane for wanting to go someplace ive been 4559687458967 times?
everyone keps telling me 'your honeymoon should be special!' but truthfully, disney is REALLY special to us.
i dont want to go on a trip i 'kinda' want to go on just bc the typical honeymoon trip is suposed to be somewhere crazy & exotic. but at the same time, i dont want to look back and regret going to disney for the countless time??
ur thoughts???? be honest please, I'm so confused!!!
(PS...I've even considered going to disney & lying to people & telling them we r going somewhere tropical...just so i dont have to hear their crap! haha!)

People can be so ridiculous. Who cares what everyone else thinks? Its what you want to do, you should be able to do it without people sticking their two cents in. Let them go where they want on their vacation...how does it affect them where you go on your honeymoon? I wish people wouldn't be so judgemental about decisions other people make that have nothing to do with them.
I'm sorry, but this kind of thing drives me nuts (as if you couldnt tell)

I would say go where you want to go. if you like disney do it. I view my honeymoon as going to a place I have never been to with my new husband and new life. Just dont regret your decision.

I would definitely go and live it up. Maybe splurge on some things that you normally wouldn't because it is your honeymoon...the extra special dinner, suite in the nicest hotel, spa, etc.
Who cares what anyone else thinks...they won't be there!

I say go where you want and not worry about what anyone thinks...I happen to love Disney as well...but maybe since yo have been there sooooo many times and can definitely keep going in the future, try someplace new...????

But I will play the pessimist for a minute...have you been anywhere but disney? If not than you will never know what anything else is like! OR why dont you book a trip to disney for later on in the summer (if you have the $$$ and vacation time).
If you dont like these options, then just go to disney. I guess I just wanted to play the pessimist (sorry if I hurt your feelings)...I just like going all different places! But if your heart is set on disney....then just do it!

This is so hysterical because I was faced with the same predicament. FH and I bought a Disney Vacation Club membership because we had been there so many times and love love love it. We didn't want to tell people that we are going to Disney for 3 days, staying in the nicest room we can get, and then going to St. Lucia for 9 days. As soon as we did tell people about the Disney part, of course we got slack. Truthfully, I think Disney is one of the best vacations you can take. There is entertainment all day long and you are actually being active all day rather than just sitting on a beach. Of course we wanted that too, so that's why we booked the St. Lucia part. And there's just something special about the happiest place on earth.
PS: I really only wanted to go this time to get those Minnie ears with the veil on it.

DH and I went to disney on our HM and we considered it a 'real' honeymoon.. just becasue its not a tropical island or europe...

Go crazy and try a different Disney. Like EuroDisney or Disney Tokyo! Even Disneyland! hehe. That way your someplace different and also someplace you know you love.

Ultimately, it's your honeymoon, your decision. But, who knows, you might have an even better time going someplace new? You'll never know if you don't go. Plus, you can always plan another trip to Disney! Who says you can't have two honeymoons?

Have you try the Disney cruise? You can go to Disney for a couple of days and then take the cruise you can have the best of both worlds.

I say, go where you both like to go! The only real vacation I've ever been on is to Florida a few times with FH and his family. My family does not go on vacation, mostly because we can't really afford it. So, FH and I have only been to Disney together and I want to go somewhere different for our honeymoon since I have never really been anywhere else. However, I would not let anyone tell me where to go for my honeymoon! If I wanted to go back there, I'd go. This is all about you and your husband, not anyone else.

All that matters is that you guys are happy. If that's where you guys want to go then you for sure should! It's special to you both because of the fact that you spend so much time there. Go for it!
p.s. I'm from California so I go to Disneyland 100000 times a year. I've had a season pass since I was 5. LOVE IT!

I think you should do what you want. People have their own ideas about what a good time is. If you love Disney go with that. Being with your hubby will be special enough.

Its your honeymoon, go where you want!!! As long as both of you are happy with Disney, then why not go? No one else is going on the honeymoon with you and it won't affect their lives where you go!
