I just began looking into hotels for our wedding night. These are the first hotels I have called so far. What are your opinions on these options?
Inn @ Great Neck 1 BR suite w/jacuzzi and steam showerin bathroom $319 per night
Garden City Hotel King Suite w/champagne, chocolates, rose petal turndown, in-room continental breakfast or full american breakfast in restaurant. $550 per night
Rosyln Claremont Hotel Honeymoon Suite w/full american breakfast in-room or in restaurant, fruit and cheese platter, fresh flower arrangement, working fireplace $375

Re: re: wedding night hotels
Check prev reviews but it seems to me that lots of girls have posted that while they were glad to stay at a nice hotel, often upgrading to the honeymoon package is not worth it -- you are not there long and a little bit of champagne is not worth $100+ -- see the cost differential for a regular suite (non wedding) and do a search of reviews

Irene, by any chance do you know how much a regular room is at the Inn at great Neck?

no, but I just checked trip advisor and 4 our 5 reviews of the hotel were not good.

Re: re: wedding night hotels
When FH and I were looking, we went to GC Hotel, Wingate Inn and Fox Hollow Inn. I thought GC Hotel was too expensive for what we were getting. The room wasn't that big. The Wingate Inn was nice, big room but not as fancy as The FH Inn. I could see myself walking into the FH Inn in my dress, plus it was a good price. I think $300 for the Bridal Suite package.

We are staying at the Harrison House in Glen Cove. Regular (King) Room = $250.00 if I remember right. They said they could send up a bottle of wine if we wanted (FH doesn't like champagne!)
We're staying at the Wingate in Garden City... around $350 for the HM suite.

We are staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow (we are also having our reception at the Watermill, also Scotto Brosthers, so we get a discount). They have 10 bridal suites and the rose petals, chocolates, champagne is optional (but only $20 more), and breakfast (not room service) is included. I can't remember the regular price but we are paying $229. with the extras or it would be $209 w/o.
We almost decided to stay at home. Garden City hotel wasn't an option, too expensive but FH stayed there for his wedding night with his ex-wife... no offense to the hotel (it's gorgeous) but that would creep me out.

Re: re: wedding night hotels
Honestly, none of the 'nice' hotels are near our hall so we're staying at a motel with our guests. Since our wedding ends at midnight and we're leaving for the airport at 6-6:30 am, there was really no need for us to spend a lot of money.
