Donna told me tonight her friend/neighbor found out about the shower from another friend/neighbor, and it turns out SHE NEVER RECEIVED HER INVITATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello!!!!! Where is it? I sent it, and wondered why she never RSVP'ed!!!! However, I know from past experience, that mail at Donna's complex can be accidently placed in another person's mailbox, and it might be possible that person never gives it back to the PO!!!!!! I also know this from when I sent Shower Invitations last year to a friend of Debi's !!!! I could not call these individuals because I did not know them, nor have their phone numbers!!! So, if you can, make calls etc.to check. Mary MOB

We had a couple that never made it to the right addresses either.. its so frustrating! You take the time to get the right address and to send it out on time and the PO can't deliver it correctly!

That's why Evites are the way to go... LoL!

I had a few people that never got the shower invites as well as the wedding invites. What a shock the US Postal Service is not reliable. I would suggest calling the non-RSVPers just to make sure they got the received them in the first place.

Hi, Kristen!!! Yes, it is frustrating!!!!! I initially mailed all the Invitations from the Main Branch of our local PO, because they are the 'only location to hand cancel'. One invitation was returned to me, as I posted previously on here, and it had a sticker that said something about so and so.... I later found out from Donna the so and so was the guest's Daughter. So, I took the invitation back to the PO, explaining it was not for the Daughter, but for the Mother, the name I had written on the invitation, AND...... THAT ADDRESS WAS INDEED THE CORRECT ONE!!! Eventually, the guest received the invitation, but now, I plan to call two PO's, tomorrow, to try to determine why this invitation was not received!!!!!

A. It was a mess up by the PO, where it was originally mailed ?
B. It was a mess up by the guest's PO, if placed in the wrong individual's box ?

I might get Donna to call them, since how can we know if they received her Wedding Invitations, which went out recently???? Mary MOB

I found out last week that one of my guests didn't get a wedding invite. . .the ones that I sent out in APRIL. I e-mailed her copies of the proofs of the invite and inserts, but I still mailed another hard copy. The PO usually has nothing to say about it except that it 'happens.' Ugh.

Had this happen with quite a few of my shower invites. Of course FMIL blamed my MOH
We also had instances where people got them weeks after they were mailed.

Just found out today that one of FH's friends didn't receive his invite. No wonder I never got his RSVP!!!!

He can't come anyway... but I got one email YES today! I have to update my count...

Well, it's unknown exactly what happened. I did call the guest's PO, and the gal said I should have called them right away, but I told her that I wasn't aware that she had not received the invitation, so I couldn't do anything about it. I did have my return address on. My guess is that another person, who lives in Donna's complex, got it by mistake, and forgot to put it back in the mailbox, or it's STILL in the wrong mailbox, because someone is away? Donna apologized and told the gal she was invited. Had I realized she had not received her invitation, I would have resent the invitation. Mary MOB

I had quite a few people tell me they didnt recieve my wedding invite...and I also didnt recieve quite a few rsvps back either....so who knows if its the guests or the post office?

Perhaps you should call them. If you had your return address on, the invitation would have come back, had the address been incorrect. Ya know some time ago, I heard that a disgruntled PO employee had dumped all his mail in a dumpster, which was later discovered!!! Strange things happen sometimes. In retrospect, I should have made an attempt to get the phone number of this gal, and ask her if she received the invitation, when I did not get her RSVP, especially after the first PO incident!!!!. I think I'll write her a note!!!! Mary MOB
