reading at ceremony

For our ceremony we are having 2 reading--

Fh has no family he is close enough to ask to read so he is having his GM who is dating my friend shannon read together and he already asked them.

My family always does the god mother and god father. My god father lives in GA and i dont see him as much. I have an aunt who lives like 2 min from me who is like a friend to me so I am having her and my god mother. My god mother from FLA will be up this weekend for a weddding. did anyone do anything cute to ask them to read and be part of their wedding? Or did you just ask them? Jw

also- what kind of gifts did you get them?

Thanks

Shannon

I've just heard of asking, I've never heard of doing anything specific or giving anything to them.

Wine is perfect for any occasion!

and depending on how personal you want to get, maybe have whatever reading they're doing printed and put into a pretty frame? I've never seen it done, but it may be a nice idea!

we haven't asked our readers yet, but when we do we are just going to ask them (not do anything special) and as far as gifts, we are up in the air about what we are going to get them.

Re: reading at ceremony

As of right now, I only have one person doing a reading at my wedding, FH's Aunt, who he is REALLY close to.

I just asked her, but it was at a very emotional time. We were on vacation for his family's reunion and we were going around the table saying something nice about her. Anyway, when FH and I went, we both broke down into tears. So after we composed ourselves, we asked her to do a reading at the wedding.
