I think it was hands or something - we had one of the couples read it at our pre-cana. I can look at home and send it to you - that's a reading we're using for ours. I'm assuming that's the one you're referring to.

The one about 'love is patient?' I'm using this in my ceremony.

A reading from the first letter of St Paul to the Corinthians 12:31- 13:8
If I am without love, it will do me no good whatever.

Be ambitious for the higher gifts. And I am going to show you a way that is better than any of them.
If I have all the eloquence of men or of angels, but speak without love, I am simply a gong booming or a cymbal clashing. If I have the gift of prophecy, understanding all the mysteries there~ are, and knowing everything, and if I have faith in all its fullness, to move mountains, but without love, then I am nothing at all. If I give away all that I possess, piece by piece, and if I even let them take my body to burn it, but am without love, it will do me no good whatever.
Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous;
love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish; it does not take offence, and is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins but delights in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.
Love does not come to an end.

This is the word of the Lord.

Re: reading at TWOTY ceremony

Update: Thanks girls. I emailed Pastor April to see what it was...this is it:

From 'Union'
by Robert Fulghum

'You have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment. At some point, you decided to marry. From that moment of yes to this moment of yes, indeed, you have been making promises and agreements in
an informal way. All those conversations that were held riding in a car or over a meal or during long walks - all those sentences that began with 'When we're married' and continued with 'I will and you will and we will' - those late night talks that included 'someday and somehow and maybe'- and all those promises that are unspoken matters of the heart. All these common things, and more, are the real process of a wedding. The symbolic vows that you are about to make are a way of saying to one another, 'You know all those things we've promised and hoped and dreamed- well, I meant it all, every word.' Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment you have been many things to one another- acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, and even teacher, for you have learned much from one another in these last few years. Now you shall say a few words that take you across a threshold of life, and things will never quite be the same between you. For after these vows, you shall say to the world, this- is my husband, this- is my wife '

I can't read things like this without crying!! At my pre-cana they read the Blessing of the Hands and I was crying...so were all of the other girls. I think I want to have it read at my wedding mass now.
