Reading Teachers...

I'mg going on an interview tommorrow for a reading position. Can anyone giveme some advice on what they might ask me?

How do you identify the specific needs of struggling readers? What do you know about matching readers to texts? How do you assess?

They may ask about running records, etc. Also they may ask about grouping strategies, maybe. And your understanding of Balanced Literacy, I would guess.

GL! My mom is a reading teacher. They will probably ask you about Reading Recovery.

they might want to know how knowledgeable you are about the current reading program they are using. (i.e. teachers college, literacy collaborative, etc) so its a good time to do your research! good luck
