readings

hello. quick question: is it ok to have a members of the bridal party do readings or are you supposed to chose persons outside the bridal party to do them?

we're doing both... my best friend who is in the wedding is doing one of the readings.... and her mom ( who is like a second mom to me cause i've known her since i was 8) is doing one of the other ones.... so i think its totally up to you

You can have someone in the BP do a reading. I have done readings as both a MOH and a BM. As a BM, you aren't really doing all that much during the ceremony anyway, so it's not a big deal to do a reading as well (it's only about 5 minutes long and the bride and groom are just sitting there listening.) I think often times people ask someone outside the BP as a way to give a special honor to someone they couldn't ask to be in the BP, but it really doesn't matter. Anyone can do the readings.
