where do you get the readings from? like are they online or your officiants give you some to choose from?

Both - our officiant gave us a word doc with a ton of readings and I also did online searches

church gave us a book from precana, that had everything to pick out as far a readings, and prayers! we had to pick out everything! i would ask the church or the preiest doing it!

Same here! However, for the Old Testament reading we didn't like any of the samples in the book so we picked a different one from the Bible.

Can I ask what OT reading you're doing now. I don't really like any of the ones in the pre-cana book. My church said I can use something else from the OT as long as I get it approved. I have no idea where to even start looking.

I keep using Google and reading and reading and whenever I find one I like FH looks at me kinda like this and says 'I don't get it.' and then it's back to the drawing board!
I found an Old Testament reading that I kind of liked in the Book of Ruth and he keeps arguing that I'm making up Ruth, that there was no Ruth! FH is being a pill and saying 'I'll leave this up to you, you went to Catholic school' but then I get the blank stare when I pick stuff.

Oh my God! I get the same reaction from FH!!! They're all alike! I love the reading from the Book of Ruth that says '...wither thou goest, I will go....' My mother informed me, however, that it's about a wife and her MIL, not a husband and wife.
