for those girls who are having/had a full mass.... Who picks the readings?? Us or the church?? If we do where do I find appropriate 'wedding-ish' readings? And do I create a prayer of the faithful too?? I need some direction!!!

The priest told us there is a book you receive at precana with suggested readings (tons of them) that you can read through and pick. He also said when the time comes he will show us the ones he likes and the ones that are popular to help us out.

When we met w/ our priest he gave us a little booklet with all of the reading options and it is up to us to choose which ones we will use. You can use the ones NOT in the booklet, but the ones provided are obvi the most love-ish ones and thats why they put them in there! if you want a non-religious reading you may need permission from the church as some do not allow it! HTH!
ETA: We are not having a full mass but we still have to pick some readings out for the ceremony :)

Thanks ladies!! I think I got a book like that at precana but hadn't noticed readings in it- I'll have to take a closer look (if I can find it )
