FH and I are getting married at our hall and will not have a 'rehearsal' until about an hour before the ceremony. We would like to get our bridal party together the night before to introduce any one from out of town and just say 'thank you' but we will have to foot the bill ourselves and there isn't a whole lot of extra money in the account right now (okay, there is almost NO extra money in the account right now, haha). Since we have a large bridal party our apartment is not an option. Does anyone have ideas of places we could host an informal cocktail party the night before our wedding? We're just looking for beer, wine, soda and some passed hors d'ouerves. So far the best price we could find was around $25 pp before tax and tip. Is that about as low as it goes or are there other places out there? RH and hotel are in Woodbury, we live in Old Bethpage and most of BP are in the West Islip/Babylon area. Any ideas ladies?

Re: 'Reahearsal Dinner' help
Funny you ask this question because my FH and I are doing the same thing..... Being that we are getting married at the RH we aren't doing a rehearsal dinner.....
however I wanted to have everyone get together for gifts and stuff - we were even thinking about going to this nice pizzeria/restaurant near the RH and get a bunch of tables - make it casual since we are spending so much already....
People will understand!
My problem is that I dont want to see FH the day before the wedding, so can we do this like the weekend before??

Re: 'Reahearsal Dinner' help
We had our 'rehearsal' dinner at Sergios in Massapequa. Similar to you, we werent doing our actual 'rehearsal' until the day of the wedding.
The decor is a little dated, but they give you TONS of food for 19.99 per person

What about a private room in a diner or pizzeria? A few large pies or individual plates wouldn't cost more than $10 pp... HTH!
