We have decided to cut our own tree down every year.. however this year im ITCHING to put up my tree SOON... that would mean putting up the fake tree...what would you do?

What about putting up other decorations for now and waiting to do your tree when you normally would?

I say go for the fake tree now.
You can always get a real tree closer to Christmas and put it up in a different room. Or put the fake one up somewhere other than the living room.
That way you get the best of both worlds!
Who ever said you can't have two trees???

I would wait for the real tree and decorate my house...but not til at least Thanksgiving. DH and I were in Westbury last night and we drove past a house that already had a lit and decorated Christmas tree in the front window!!! . It's too early!

REAL TREE! REAL TREE!! Is it too early to cut down? we used to cut it down the first weekend in December....definetely get the real tree-if you want to put something up sooner, you can but promise me you'll get a real tree!!

Do the real tree. Since your cutting it own your own its actually fresher than ones you would buy from a lot.Those trees are cut in Sept. A girlfiend of my does the same thing they cut thier own , she said they last a long time. Good Luck

Suzanne you can always do the fake tree this year and start the real tree tradition next year when you are in a new house!!

Our family tradition since we were little was cutting down our tree the saturday after thanksgiving. I say get a real one and a fake one. We have a fake one we put up in our bedroom that is 4ft.

I grew up with a fake tree, oh the memories of the tree that is stored in a box all year with left over tinsel on it.
NO MORE!!!!!!!!!! It's natural for me, and pine needles left around for a year to remind me of it all year long
