Has anyone here used Silk flowers for their wedding? Is it much cheaper to do it that way? Anyone have pics of silk flowers that they used?
Thanks!

Re: Real vs Silk?
i was in my aunts wedding a few years ago and it cost her about $500 for the boks...and that was in michigan where EVERYTHING is cheaper....they looked kinda cheesy (jmho). but maybe thats just the style she wanted.

Re: Real vs Silk?
Reason Im asking is because I know Im going to want to save my bo-k and FH's boutineer......I've heard that if I got real flowers and then had them preserved (I think is the word Im looking for) that costs a small fortune. Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have no choice. I have to go the silk flower route. I am allergic to pretty much every flower known to mankind. I have found some really nice silk boquets. I am going next week to look at more and if they let me take pics I will post them.

Do a search online, you will find directions for DIY preservation-stuff that you can buy at any craft store.

We went with real flowers.
But I went to a wedding that used silk flowers and it didn't look too bad.
