Realistic looking silk flowers

Does anyone know where I can get really nice silk flowers? My FI and I both have bad allergies, so I was thinking about making the bouquets and centerpieces myself, but he's afraid they'll look too fake. Thanks!

Patchouge Floral Fantasyland has a lot. Michael's also has a nice selection. Most places tend to be seasonal with their floral selection - if you go now you'll probably see a lot of tulips, daffodils, and fruit tree blossems. If you need Summer or Fall you'll have to wait until closer to that season. Also check out AC Moore and Joann's - they sometimes have nice ones too.

I made the bouquets, bouts and will make the corsages out of silk for my wedding. I got most of my flowers from AC Moore, Michaels and the Rag Shop (not sure if there are any of them on LI, I got mine in NJ--and they had the nicest selection of the three stores).

As I have worked for Michael's since 1996, I can honestly tell you that our selection of silk flowers is hard to top. While you can find silk flowers also at Treasure Island and AC Moore, the quality is not the same. They are made from cheaper materials and don't have that realistic effect. Wait for a sale, and you can get them for up to 40% off. Tip: Buy bushes instead of stems and you'll get more bang for your buck. You're just gonna cut them up anyway, and bushes often come with some decent greenery!!
