Realization.....

Realization.....

I was thinking this morning...a dangerous past time, I know!

...I pay £80+ a month to travel to work via public transportation every morning. Work is approximately 1 mile away from home...

...I pay £40+ a month to go to the gym, where I usually run about 2 miles on the treadmill...

Seems to me I could save myself £120 by running to work every morning!

See how much laziness costs?

So true! I started walking to work when I lived in D.C., and it was great exercise and I saved the $ on the metro too. The summers a great time to walk too! A mile to work is a great commute! DH and I just bought bikes and have been having so much fun riding all over too! So much better than an exercise bike!

Yeah, but jsut think how sweaty you'd be once you got there!! (I'll come up with ANY excuse for not excersizing!)

Is it possible for you to walk to work? I would LOVE to be able to! (I really can't---since my commute involves a big, scary bridge with no known walkway.)
But, I have been able to in the past and I was in the best shape ever when I was walking to work everyday.

I CAN walk, but I don't usually get up early enough!

But, once we find new apartment where we have some outside space, DH and I want to get bikes so that we can ride to work. I think that would probably be best for me. I wouldn't get AS sweaty...plus the darn thing would pay for itself in one month!!!

Until you 2 get a bigger place, why not get unicycles?

Um, seeing as I was contemplating training wheels for an extra little bit of balance, I'm not sure it's a smart move to cut it down to just one wheel...

C'mon Liz, you know my track record in clumsiness!!!!!!
