Really bad for a shower?????? xrated goodies

I just found out when my shower is
Now im not so crazy that its RIGHT before the wedding but I am just happy to be having one.

My mom wants to have like the male organ shaped lollipops and boobie cup cakes and stuff. I told FH and he FLIPPED OUT. He said his whole side of the family esp. his mother are going to think its disgusting and hate it.
Now were fighting over it I dont think its a big deal. He says its totally not appropriate for a shower. What do u think??

In my opinion, those things are fun at bachelorette parties, but not really for showers-where little old ladies will be sipping tea...

I seriously doubt that NO ONE in his family has ever been to a shower where they had that kind of stuff. I don't think it's a big deal. Besides, he's a guy. He doesn't REALLY know what all his aunts and stuff are like in a room full of girls!

I think it is more for a bachlorette party.

We are having a join bachlor/ette party so I wont be able to do it then either lol

I don't think the shower is the time or place for things like that - I would be mortified to see that at a shower.

I think his family should get a grip -lol. If it is an adult shower and run by your family - they will have to deal. I have been to plenty of showers with much worse than lollipops and cake.

My mom had little penis funny plastic things (they had faces) on the table and attached them to the birdal party's name tags. My friend attached one to my bow hat. My friends table took me some interesting pictures on the table camera!! DH's grandmother picked it up and was like how cute - a peanut - she had no clue!! I thought DH's family may have taken it badly (they are more stuffy than my family) but they did fine.

My opinion is that stuff is for the bachelorette party, not a shower. Shower should be very G rated - all ages will be there as well as easily offended people. Save the penis-pops for your bachelorette party...or a night with the girls.

I wanted to do the same thing until my FH got wind of it and he said whatever but his sister said oh no- my aunts would be mortified and think its not classy- and then commented I had a very classy shower!!! what ever so I wont do it I dont need the family talking- so i will do it for bachelorette parte!

In my experience I've only seen them at bachlorette parties. I would say the decision rests with the person throwing the shower

If there's a possibility of people being offended, then skip it, but if you think FH is overreacting and his family will think it's funny, than go for it. I know that my FH is kind of a prude like that and would be mortified if I did something like that in front of hia aunts, but they would absolutely love it! And noone would question my 'class.'

I actually HAVE seen that at a shower (as part of a gift), but the bride didn't know it was coming...she was amused, but I thought it made most people uncomfortable. Besides, without the humor/shock value, what's the point? If you ask me, your mom blew the whole thing when she told you about it.

I think its more for the bachelorette party, HOWEVER...if someone chooses to ANONYMOUSLY PACKAGE THEM and wrap like a gift....then uh...whats he gonna do lol

I have to agree with your fiance on this one. Then again, I didn't allow these things even at my bachelorette party either, I think it's corny to say the least.

It's YOUR shower, YOUR mom is throwing it for you.......have a good time and if his family is too uptight to have fun w/ you and your family then that's their loss !
