Really bad gifts

Did anyone get any real bad gifts this year?

My mom is notorious for giving bad gifts. I tell her every year not to get us anything but nooooo.

So this year I got perfume from the 99 cents store, a purple scarf and hat set for a child, and a costume jewelry set that looks like something my grandmother would wear. You think she would know her own daughter and she knows I am allergic to every perfume there is, I don't wear hats or costume jewelry.

Thank God for my dad. I asked for a microwave for Greenport and he got that for us.

So what bad gifts did you get?

An electric nail filer.

MIL thought I was the one with the nail biting problem. I do my own manicures. Pssshhhht!! Thank God for gift receipts!!!

My MIL is the worst... In my grab bag of garbage (as I will kindly refer to it), I got a hot pink THONG, a mini gumball machine and a bottle of balsamic vinegar, just to name a few of her gems....

I wouldn't say it's a bad gift but it was DEF a gift that I was unhappy about. SIL and I are really close, we have similar taste and always think of the best gifts for each other. This year DH bought her a Rangers ticket (well he both 2 tickets and gave her one for Christmas). She gave DH a Rangers t-shirt from the Winter Classics. She got me a gift set from Bath and Body Works. Like I said, it's not a bad gift, but I'm a little insulted that she gave me such a generic gift. Almost like she put no thought into it at all.

No offense taken - the woman is BANANAS! and really? hot pink thong and vinegar in the same gift?? I think there was a car air freshener in her bag of tricks as well...
