I am really in love with Maggie Sottero Sabelle, but I can't find anywhere to try it on in my size. I'm also really in love with Victoriana, which I can try on. But in pictures, I think I love Sabelle more. But I really don't want to order a dress that I can't try on.
My Mom just called Maggie Sottero directly, and asked them to check every store that a Sabelle sample has been sent to in the tri state area. And they did, and the biggest size they distribute for samples is a 14
I'm really really really bummed that I can't try it on.

it really stinks that they do that. in reality..most girls arent a ssize 4 and need the larger sizes and they should accomodate. its easier to clip a big dress than it is to put on a dress thats too small

Did they ever hold it up to you? Did you like how it looked? Even if it's not your size, holding it up and moving it around sometimes helps!
It IS a gorgeous dress and honestly, i think it would be beautiful on you. I say keep looking anyway, maybe you'll find something similar in a plus size and you can get a better idea that way!

Talk to the bridal shop...if you order it and you don't love it, ask if you can switch.
i am a size 18 and was stuck trying on size 8's so i know what u mean - believe me though they clip and clamp you to make it fit so you get the idea. I would just go and look at the 14...

Does it look anything like anything that Davids Bridal has. i have noticed alot of David Bridal dresses look alot like some of the designer dresses. Maybe you can find something there that looks like it and try it on to see how it looks. David bridal carries alot of plus sizes. Just a thought

Stores have tried to put a 14 on me...it's veryvery close to getting on me, but I just cant get it over my arms so that my head comes out

i know that this might be a little drastic but what about stores in surrounding states like nj or ct? i know that a few girls did that in order to find their dress.

I'm really sorry, it's a shame they don't have larger samples Sabelle is my dress and I love it, but it ***** that you can't try it on and get that feeling.

aww jen. why dont you go to bridal suite of bayshore and try on the hampton....its almost identical...same top and rouching !! you will really get a feel for the sabelle if you try it on
