so when u have them made and u list the choice of food..do u just put what it is or do u give that little description underneath...am i making sense?

I think it depends on what you are offering... somtimes the title of the food is self explanatory in which case you dont need a description. BUT if you are having food that has a title which not many people would know what that is.. then I would DEFINATLEY include a description.
For example - Allegra just posted her fab menu... and her food was all self explantory so she doesn't really need a description.
If there's any kind of food on your menu that you would go 'what is that?' then that item should have a description. Usually the more gourmet types of foods would need a description.

I am not doing my menus but if I were I would put the description under... You never know what people could be allergic to and I wouldn't want to take any chances IMO.

I would put descriptions. I've been to weddings before where they didnt and I had to ask the waiter 'what is that?'
