Really Frustrated!!!
I wrote the following email to my mom, MOH and FMIL:
Hello!
Welcome to the best part of wedding planning -- cake tasting!! I am currently making appointments for Saturday, May 26. I will let you know the start time and where we will be meeting as soon as I finish making the appointments. Also, keep in mind that we are looking for both a wedding cake and a grooms cake. Other important things to note: Jeff (FH) and I want to do multiple flavors of cake (ie: 3 tier cake, each tier would be a different flavor).
I love cake!!
Much love,
Lizzy
My mom then emails me back and says that I need to invite my sisters (I have 4 of them!) and my Grandma. I emailed her back and said that I felt that would be too many opinions and it would be overwhelming for me. She emailed me back that she didn't care (literally!) and that she didn't feel right excluding them.
I just emailed her back:
I know that my sisters are in town that weekend. However, I purposefully chose to just have you, Marsha (FMIL) and Amber (MOH) come as to cut down on opinions and people. My compromise could be inviting Grandma, but if I invite one sister, I would have to invite all of them.
The other option could be to try and make 2 appointments. We could do the Saturday with the original group and do Sunday or Monday (because of the holiday) with the sisters. That would make 2 groups of 5, which I think would be much less chaotic and much more manageable.
Would either of those options work?
Lizzy
What if she emails back and says that she still wants to have 9 people (!!!!) go cake tasting?? I really wouldn't want to go then...
