Really frustrated with FMIL

We ordered our invites, and they are coming in either this week or next week. They need the addresses so they can address the envelopes. Well my parents have been great and have gotten almost 95% of the addresses. I have told FMIL for three weeks I need the addresses, she's like I know, I promise to get them for you..and still I haven't gotten them!!! I'm ready to scream!!!!

I would tell her if they are not ready by x date the people are not getting an invite. That should put a fire under her butt.

Ha ha..I told FH that, I said if I don't have the addresses, they aren't being invited, and I don't care, bc I don't know any of these ppl

Thanks! I can't stand it, she hasn't even looked for a dress yet.....

Tell her that the company has given you a deadline for them to be addressed (I wouldn't give her the real deadline, move it up a week) and if the don't receive a typed alphabetized list by then then they won't be done.

I would have FH say this to FMIL. If he says it your not the bad guy. Good luck.

Ohhh, my FMIL just got back from vacation last night. I assumed she had her dress then she tells me she needs to go dress shopping... WHAT? She also doesn't want to wear floor length. She wants something she can 'Wear again' which worries me if it is going to be appropriate enough considering her husband is in a tuxedo.

MY FH's family is even worse!
I have been asking them since AUGUST!!!

Not only that, I told her to invite 60 maybe a bit more. Now she called, she has 70 PAIRS!!!!

Oh yah, the number of ppl too..My mom had asked her please keep it to 70...shes like ok no problem, but I have to invite ppl out of courtesy, they are definitely not going to come...I'm sorry, but I'm not relying on ppl definitely not coming.....

we said that to her, she guaranteed us that they won't come, my mother was ready to say, if they do come you're paying for them....

I hear ya!!!I have been going through the exact same thing. No body on his side of the family got STD's and they will not get invitations if I dont get names and addresses. I dont even have the names. I dont have a final invite list. And to make matters worse she dosent speak english so i cant even communicate with her myself. I understand your frustration. If there are no addresses then there is no invitation, and you cant feel bad about it.

I don't want to sound like a brat, but my parents are paying for most of the wedding, his parents are contributing a very very small percentage to it, so the fact that she has more ppl than my parents really irks me....

I know exactly how you feel-his mother isn't contributing squat and she wants to keep adding 'friends' screw that!! My parents cut some of their own friends to keep the numbers down-that woman really irks me sometimes!

Its awful, bc I really liked her first, and then when money and family came into play, I started really disliking things about her...My mom called her to do dinner with the families, and granted both parents have very very differnt schedules, but she hasn't even tried since, and then FH has the audacity to tell me your mom hasn't called my mom to tell her about the shower, I replied, that his mom hasn't called my MOM period!!! unlesss it was to call her back about something..
